Thomas,Ive been shopping all over for weeks tring to find a new or used but fairly new kubota 3010hst or 3710hst,Their was nothing local around here,and a couple within a 4 hour ride,I decided to go with carver,Everyone I poke with was very polite and new what they were talking about,We went back and forth several times(I couldnt decide on either a new or used 3010 or a used 3710then ags or turfs)they were very patient,I know I am a very demanding shopper,well tomarrow is the day for my orange baabt to arrive,my fingers are crossed,good luck to you,SHIFTY

Thomas, a few weeks ago, I checked out their web site, then called Carver about purchasing a new BX 2200. Their final price was lower than what is posted on their web site. This was a pleasant surprise.

Jonathan Clear, the salesman, was most helpful in sending a price on exactly what I wanted. He even talked me out of buying service/parts manuals for the mower and FEL. He said they would fax pages to me, if I needed them in the future. I thought this was very good of him to be so accomodating, especially when it saves me money on the manuals.

I was very pleased with all the conversations with Jonathan, and e-mail messages from Steve Carver. All in all, I believe they are a top notch outfit that knows how to treat a customer well. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Kubota.

Ive dealt with Al,Johnathan and Steve,I just checked my email history that ive been saving, Do to my on going deal,Ive had 31 responses to my quiestions via e-mail starting 11-1 till today,their also Very VERY patient,my machine will be here tomarrow,feel like a kid awaiting santa

$6000 difference! I live in California. I checked with two dozen dealers, some big and some small, here in California, semi-local in Arizona and Nevada, and others further afield. The best deal and the nicest people were Al and Steve at Carver’s for a variety of reasons. I always prefer, however, to support local business.

Shopping with my local dealer is a non-issue, even if he would like it to be. He is retiring and closing his doors. Cost wise, he was $6000 more than Carver’s! The best of the other dealers were within $4000 of Carver’s package price. Locally, I have 8% sales tax with which to contend. Buying in NC, there is a freight bill that cancels that out.

Has anyone ever seen a bad word written about Carver’s? Enquiring minds need to know.

Did I mention Steve Carver was $6000 less than my local dealer?

BGear, I don't know where to find the messages, but several people have posted messages after buying from Carver, and I haven't ever heard anyone who bought anything from him having any complaints.

I guess by now your scratching your head and thinking this should be easy to purchase a tractor w/ all the goodies....
ahhh my friend its just the begining, /w3tcompact/icons/wink.giffor most of us have been there in one form or another.
I believe the key in purchasing any type of equipment comes down to satisfaction or go w/ your gut feelings,and like you wrote $$$.

Far as the Carver's they have the right <font color=red>ATTITUDE<font color=red><font color=black>,and word of the mouth is still a major part of advertisement...good example right here on TBN.

Not to start a dealers war by any means,/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif but I think my Kubota dealer could give Mr.Carver a good run for his service also appreciation toward new and old customers, /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif darn nice to know there are dealers out there like this!

Just take your time and shop around enjoy this new experience.

I corresponded with Steve for quite awhile before I finally bought my L3710 ... and he gave me excellant advice and encouraged me to look around and try. He also asked enough pertinent and knowledgeable question to help me solidify what I wanted to buy. In the end, the quote that I got locally came in at slightly less than Steve's quote ..and shipping ... would have copme to ... but only because I was able to sign a sales tax waiver doc and forgo the $1200 tax.
I have seen nothing but good comments and would not hesitate to deal with him myself ...

Two other things that I wanted to add. Steve asked me what kind of car and truck I drive. It seems he wanted to make sure that the tractor fit the man or vice versa. No other dealer, of those I contacted, were concerned too much with my personal preferences or the size of the jobs ahead.

Second, Steve recommended the stereo. Any comments?
