I just ran across this new style of cargo self recoiling ratchets at my local do it best hardware store. The website to this is new tie downs is CargoBuckle - The worlds most convenient tie-down system . The strap looks like its made with a seat belt material. The way it is designed it looks really attractive to save hassle with straps hanging all over and just recoils for you. Has anyone use this before ? It looks like a perfect companion to my ratchet straps collection :D .I realize it probably not strong enough for my kubota, but good enough for other lighter stuff.

So what say you?

Great idea but nothing new. They have been available for boat trailers, rear tie downs, for the last 15 years.

I installed a set on one of my customers 16' utility trailer. He is a commercial mower but not my neighbor whom I often talk about who is also a commercial mower. They work great for him, are quick, will not fall off if lose, and can not get stolen or lost very easily.

We got them though a marine supply catalog and mounted them like the picture of the trailer with the JD Gator on it. You can also get them from Harbor Freight and they are actually well made.
