Carb float needle has been letting gas run all the time for quite a while ( we'd have to be SURE to shut the tank petcock off each time, or find a big puddle of gas on the floor )....so I finally ordered a carb kit and rebuilt it.
Got THAT issue fixed by putting new needle and seat in, only to have a new one spring up !
NOW when I back up, and back up ONLY, the machine wants to cough, sputter and bog down.
HUH ?
There was no linkage or electrical tied to the gear box, or wiring.....so WHAT the heck would cause that ? You can throw it in forward, and it runs like a top.....but put it in reverse, and it sputters and dies. Seems better when it warms up thoroughly, but still there some. Slip it into neutral even, and it quits doing the sputter.
Never heard of this one, so if you have, lay some advice on me !
Thanks !
