I recently bought a B7500HST (great machine..so far) so I am trying to sell my B7100HST,4X4, with 60" MMM. It is a 1997 with only 160 hrs and was garage kept...great shape. I have been advertising it and putting it out in front of the house (heavily travelled road). Initially I was hoping to get about $8,000 and I have asked as low as $7,500. I have been actively trying to sell it for about one month. I was under the impression (since when I looked) that you just can't find these machines used and that I would be able to sell it very quickly.
Anyone have any suggestions. I don't think I'm asking too much...am I? Any places a should consider advertising?
I guess alot of people are looking for a FEL. I Sold my 87' B8200HST, 980 hrs. with FEL and 72" rear finish mower in 2 weeks for $12k. I had a lot of action just by the road side. I also put it on Ebay and had it get bids as high as $11800. Don't give up hope, the right guy just hasen't seen it yet. Good luck and just don't give it away.
Please give me that persons name and address because I have some more equipment that he or she might be interested in. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I guess whats important is that everyone got what they wanted. Is that honestly the fair market value on that year and implements?
skgolfer I would just hang in there and you will sell it. I personally don't sell anything unless it's what I want for it... Well I'm sure there will be a time that I have to but hope that day never does come./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Doesn't seem like the 7.5K figure is that far off. I have had quotes for new of 9k for a similar BX 2200 and 9.5 K (b/4 tax) for new left over B7300 HSTs. Maybe,(if similar deals are available in your area) the price differential between old and new isn't great enough at this price point machine, given that the prime mower selling season is just past. Good luck to you.
Darin,
The B8200HST is the predecessor to the B2150 which is the predecessor to the B2710. The dealers near me are so high in thier pricing on a new one, that they were the most help in me getting top dollar for mine. They quoted list for everything on a B2910 at $25K. So half price sounds good to the guy looking at mine. I could have saved over $3k from carver on a new B2710 over that quote from the local dealers, and that is after shipping! I ended up on a deal too good to pass up from my neighbor on the B2710 that I have now. I sold mine and for $1500 upgraded to the B2710 with FEL w/ 60" bucket and MMM and a 5ft" rear snow blower. Just have to be in the right place at the right time! One other neighbor is pissed that he missed this deal, but " you snooze, you lose"!
Way to go! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif And also thanks for the history of your 8200 because see I didn't know that it was a close relative to the 2150's and the 2710's. I was thinking smaller and actually that makes a heck of alot more sense to me now eventhough you most definately got an awesome deal for only $1500. BRAVO!

Sold my mid 80's 7100HST using this site. Got $5,000. It had 700 hrs, 48" Mid mount mower, 48" back blade and all the manuals. I had been asking $6000.00 but after getting several offers at $5000 I figured that must be the correct price. It took about 2 weeks to sell./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I have attached the picture I used with the add.
I see a "95" 7100 4wd-450 hrs., lgt. homeowner use-1 owner- on the above mentioned web site for $6,500 firm in AZ. It is without the 60" MMM but has a loader, bushhog and rototiller included. Just another gauge as to value?
