(Oops! this should go on the Kioti Owning/Operating page.)

The quick attach lever, that is. My DK45 has the single-handle SS quick attach plate on the FEL. When I'm detaching my bucket or grapple, a lot of times, the handle will flop back down (engaging the bottom pins) before I can climb back into the tractor, which means I can't disengage!. Similarly, when I'm trying to latch on to the new attachment, the level will flop down so the pins are extended and in the way of having the bucket or grapple seat properly. This isn't a big issue, just an irritation/nuisance...and I've taken to using a bungee to hold the lever up when changing attachments.
Has anybody else had this problem? Is there an easy fix...ie, some way to make the lever (or linkages?) a bit stiffer so it will stay in the open position when I put it there? Or, is the bungee solution the best way to go?

Are you "opening" it all the way? Mine seems to lock in the open position, there is a noticeable amount of force to get it there, but it stays...

I agree with Duane. You have to flip the lever completely to the other side (i.e. approx. 180 degrees) when you open it. The lever opens to the centre position and you need to keep going and push it completely over. The force required is about the same as when latching it closed.

I'll look at this tonight when I get home. I hope it is as simple as not swinging the lever far enough over!
I'm not sure Viagra would counteract the WD-40 I sprayed on the pivot points, though it might be worth a try if the other suggestions don't pan out.

mine sometimes stay open, and sometimes it doesn't. the mechanism to lock it open doesn't hold it tight enuf. i just learn to live with it. guess i could use a small bungee cord. And yes i fully open it as far as possible.

My DK45 also locks in when I swing it 180 degrees, it has a detent that takes a fair amount of force to lock it.

Mine also fails to lock in the full open position. I welded a little loop on the tip and use a small bungee to hold it in the open position when changing implements. The bungee connects to the bucket level indicator tube.

Mine used to stay open when new, it never was a tight lock and would drop back down between implement changes.

Something I thought about doing, put rig up a 12 volt linear actuator and run switch back to dash, never have to leave the seat.
