Hello

I have a ford 1700 compact tractor, 1360 hrs. My manual says I have to change the injection pump oil every 200 hrs. Picture in the manual shows this: (second attached pic)
Problem is, they never drilled and tapped the holes for the drain and fill plugs at the factory. So my injection pump is the one in the first pic. Should I have it taken off and taken to a shop so they can drill and tap the holes? thanks

my guess is that you have a newer configuration that no longer needs those drain and level plugs. If it lasted this long you must be doing something right. Hopefully someone with more specific knowledge will come along and confirm.

If you can see a oil pipe from the engine then it's lubricated by the engine oil and needs no attention.
