Kioti DK5010 with KL5510 Loader & 72" Bucket. Kawasaki Mule Pro MX SE with 66" snow plow.
We just bought a used Kioti and need a canopy for the ROP. There are a lot of choices including coated steel, aluminum, plastic, and fiberglass.
Any compelling reasons to go with one material or the other?
Any particular brands or models you have had good luck with?
Any other helpful suggestions?

I prefer steel to protect my noggin.

The ones my local dealer sells are made by these folks TractorSunshade.com about $400 and the color is a real close match and no complaints about it. Someone on ebay sells a kit that includes all the hardware you need and you build the cover if you want to go that route.

From what I have seen, the fiberglass tops look to be a bit bigger than the plastic or metal tops. I would guess 6"-12" bigger in each direction.

My fiberglass top on my bigger tractor is 57x65 and on the smaller tractor it is 45x59. I have had zero problems with both of mine. If you have to be in and around low hanging trees, then a metal top might be the best bet, but if not, then I suggest that you get a fiberglass unit.

Just my opinion. ;)

I have one from Tractorsunshade.com Got it from the dealer who installed it. I really like it and it seems durable.

I ran into low hanging trees the first day I had it, wasn't really thinking about the how high it was :confused2:. It is fine, a few scratches but they came right out.

We have a fiberglass one on our L3830 and it has held up well so far. The BX2660 has a fiberglass cab roof that stays on year round and that one has also done well.

id go with a steel canopy.because sooner or later something will fall on or hit the top.
