Thanks for the add, I've been lurking since I bought a 1988 Mitsubishi MT 372 D tractor. Of course being new to the tractor world and being told "nothing needed to be done" when I bought it. Here's my scenario, after my tractor warms up from use, maybe 20-30mins, I start to lose lift power on my FEL. I called the previous owner and he said he wasn't sure what was going on and to check the filter. So, I drained all the hydraulic fluid, fixed a cylinder on the FEL, cleaned the hydraulic filter, and added new oil to the unit. It now runs longer better but after about 40mins it loses lift power again. I assume I need to replace the hydraulic pump, but, I was wondering if there was a rebuild kit I could do. I love saving money but I also like tinkering so a rebuild kit would be fun. This will be the 1st of many posts as I am new to all of this tractor stuff. Thanks for the post.

It is not hard to do, if you can get a rebuild kit. The seals are very special, and specific to the
make of the pump. The brand, at least, of the pump is usually on the casting. Have you
researched it?

Here is a Cassappa pump that I did for a Kioti. It is still working, last I heard. Kioti
changed their brand of pumps to Joyang, but only sells the rebuild kit for the Cassappa,
resulting in a Big Hassle.

If your pump looks like this one I'd buy a new one off Ebay I think I paid around $280. The shaft broke on mine and dealer wanted $1,200.

I am not sure which one it is.

It does look like that. I found one off e-bay for $224 but I didn't know if used was worth it or if I should buy new for $349? I would really hate to buy a used one and have the same problem.

Where do I go about looking for a re-build kit?

I decided to get the used pump from E-bay for $224 shipped, the guy said it came from a unit with only 234hrs and he guarantee it works, whether my tractor has other issues or not might be different.

Anyone know where I can find out how to replace the pump once it comes in?

So I lose hydraulic pressure to raise my bucket whether it's empty or loaded. I seem to have pressure for my bucket tilt. I change lines at the control box and the last line I go to change, which happens to be the bucket lift line, this little square metal thing falls out. I'm pretty sure nothing came out of the other lines. What is it? 1491346323830-1684111086.jpg

It may be a flow re-stricter to cushion lower the loader. I've never seen one in that location before but then I haven't seen that many.

Oh yeah that's exactly what it is. After I swapped my hydraulic lines to the different valves I lifted the bucket but when I hit the down, holy cow did it go down quick. Thanks for the help.

Assuming your pump is bad (and it prob is not), you have to get a kit from
either the maker of the tractor, or the maker of the pump.

I have also replaced OEM pumps with aftermarket units when the tractor
maker wants too much for a replacement.

Photo is the implement pump off a McCormick (Landini). I found a replacement
for about $150, but the spline shaft had to be modified.
