Can Am Outlander 450

Walking the fence lines through the woods has started to take it's toll on this aging body. So I'm in the market for an ATV. After some research, I'm leaning towards the Can Am Outlander 450. Anyone have any experience with it? Feed back would be appreciated.

I would look at Yamaha,Suzuki or Honda;they have been building a 450 class machine for years and they are bullet-proof.

I'd suggest looking at the brand your nearest dealership has for starters. In general, the Can Am Outlander 450 seems good.

Can't offer feedback on that particular model since I've no experience with it. Personally, I bought a Yamaha Kodiak 450 back in 2006 and now have ~ 9000 miles on it. First repair was last year when it needed a new stator installed. Great, dependable machine. Just bought a Can-am Defender HD10 cab model - needed to get something to use during cold weather - and I really like it. My research on it showed it to be pretty dependable also. If you are hauling tools and supplies around, this is much handier than an ATV.

Outlander is a great ATV. Have had 2 of them. And remember, their Rotax engines put out way more power than a similarly sized competitor’s engine.

A friend went to look at/buy a 450. He came home with the next size bigger a 540? 570? He said it was a few hundred more. No problems to date.

Picked up the 450 today. She's red and purty. Named her Patty in honor of the date. It was dark when we got home so no pics yet.
