Cable / cable sheath replace/repair.

Not sure if this is right forum.

Snow blower spout control cable (from handle lever to chute): Does anyone know if you can buy generic cable sheath, maybe it would be cut from a reel? It looks like it's just small diameter interlocked armored (metal clad) sheath with a PVC type coating. I need 66", but will probably have to track down manufacturer and part number,, and then find dealer, and then wait 3 weeks for special overpriced part to ship.
If anybody knows where to find this, please advise. Thanks

Try an auto-parts store for clutch cable sheath. Old VW's used flexible cables & sheaths for both throttle & clutch, bet you could get one of those to work with your chute.

Though I like to support the local dealer/rep & family friend, last time I called I got the "call the other store", called the other store and got "call the other store. Oh they said call here? The guy who usually does that left, we'll call you back" I'm still waiting for that call.
eBay had the specific part and saves me the run around. Worth the extra $5-10. Done!
