Has anyone mated the BXpanded ripper tooth to an LS backhoe yet? Seems they offer it as JD/kubota but I'm wondering if it'll bolt up to an LS. I could find much use for it, so any help is appreciated.

They would sure increase their customer base since Bro-Tek doesn't seem to be making the ripper tooths any longer. I would definitely buy one for my LS.

I contacted them asking for their specs on pin size and location. Maybe it will pin up to my Woods (not likely) but maybe an adapter can easily be fabricated.
I havent heard anything back from BXpanded, and I doubt I will, but it was worth a shot.

As a side note, I reached out to a member on here that goes by the name MichiganIron and he makes custom ripper teeth for backhoes. I found this thread:

I PM'd him and asked if this was still a service they offered, since that thread was old. Here is his response:
"Thank you for your interest in Michigan Iron and Equipment. Yes we still manufacture a Ripper Tooth for the Woods BH90X Backhoe All of our Rippers can be seen on our Machinery Group website www,miemachinery.com. Just use the Products Tab and select the Rippers. The Woods BH90X falls into our "85" class Ripper Tooth. Current pricing is on the miemachinery website.
Due to a very high volume of work, lead times right now in our shop are approximately 4 weeks"
Might help if you're not married to BXpanded.
I have yet to order one, kinda fell off my radar.

"Can you please tell me the pin size and locations for the ripper tooth? I'd like to either make my own adapter or see if it will simply pin onto my Woods Backhoe. Thank you!"
I wasnt expecting much, but after a few emails back and fourth, here is the answer I got:
"Here are the sizes we can offer:-
BX:
1”Pin
Inside width: 37/8 “
Center to center Pin width: 5”
B:
1”Pin
Inside width: 37/8 “
Center to center Pin width: 61/2”
JD:
1”Pin
Inside width: 5 3/8”
Center to center Pin width: 5 5/8”

Hope this info helps. I plan to measure my backhoe and see if any of these gets close. Like my question said, maybe I can make an easy adapter to allow me to use a BXpanded ripper.

Hey thats awesome of them to reply with specific dimensions. I am going to take measurements this weekend and update the thread for others inquiring if it fits.

I finally got to measure and order one. The measurements for my backhoe seemed to be very similar to the jd 260b so I ordered it. When it arrives, ill follow up

Here it is, installed. As you can see, the pin hangs out a bit, but it won't slide because of the pin locks. Everything is perfect for the ls MT122/25 series. I ordered direct from bxpanded and told them I have a JD 260b for correct fitment. Thanks to the poster above who contacted them! Time to get some stumps and roots out!!! I hope this helps someone who is not sure what to order, but wants a ripper.
