Canopy BX24 Sunshade or Canopy

I recently bought a canopy for my RTV900 and I am surprised at how much I enjoy it. Now I see the value and plan to add a canopy/sunshade for my BX24. In searching through past threads, here are the ones I found:

Your canopy choice may depend on where you park your BX24. If you have to fold your ROPS, or the ROPS with canopy won't clear the door header, you'll want to forget "permanent" canopies. Otherwise, many on TBN prefer the rigid type for their indestructability.

For me, being easy to remove/install was a necessity. My canopy is a warm weather sunshade. I don't use it in the woods, or off-season. Plus, I wanted it to be forgiving when I bumped tree limbs while mowing. My Tuff-Top meets all my canopy requirements.

I added a Firebird fiberglas canopy to My BX2200 and really do like it.

Made my own for BX2350 and F2880 for about $25. Look like I made them myself but they work. Used 1 !/2" PVC.

I have only ever had the Tuff Top, so no comments on how it compares to anything else, but I am pleased and satisfied with it and the shade that it provides. I rarely take it off, although that is one of the main reasons that I bought it. My B7500 with turf tires and Tuff Top goes through my standard height garage door, with a little clearance. I did remove 2-3 tree limbs that were too low. I would buy it again. My XLR-52 (XL-48) was $362 from DePratt Equipment Sales in Columbus, KS in 2006. That price included a TBN discount and shipping to Michigan. If you are interested in the Tuff Top, call Jon DePratt at 620-429-2602 and mention TBN.

How does it handle snow load? Any concerns using it in winter?

My B7500 is only outside during the winter while I am actually moving snow around, but I don't ever remember any snow on the Tuff Top. I have used the Tuff Top for three winters with no issues at all.

I am curious too ... my dealer is trying to get me a price on one of these since the Kubota canopy is about 425-450.

They have a website, I called the guy and ordered two at the same time seems like they were a bit over $300.00 each. Now granted they will be quite a bit higher because I ordered these in March of 2005 , The style was changing and I took the last two he had. But My opinion is that they are good quality.
