Kubota BX24
Own a BX24, 2 years now, has FL, BH, MM mower, great machine, looking to buy a landscape rake, need something to disturb the soil prior to planting a new lawn, know zero about 3 point hitch attachments, looking for some help on size, make, model and performance. Also looking for a rear plug aerator to attach to the BX, have not been able to find anything on one of those, or if its even something thats available.

Welcome to TBN. I currently have a 4' LandPride LR05 series rake. Don't get that one for the BX24! My BX bends teeth on the rake regularly and I did add hydraulic angle and modified the rake for cat 1 to match my other implements. IMHO the 05 series rake is way too light duty and small for serious raking projects. :(

The LR05 series have 1/4" x 3/4" x 12" high teeth and the LR15 series have 5/16" x 1" x 16" teeth (much heavier)

My next rake might be a LandPride LR15 72" with gauge wheels. If the rake is too big for the BX, I'll just remove a few teeth. :)

I bought a 6' Landpride for my BX2200 and it pulled it fine. Also used it on my BX1500 and did fine. Also used it on my B7800 and now use it on my BX2350 and L3240. There was/is one problem with it on BX's. When on a down hill slope the 3pth won't lift it high enough to get it off the ground. If you have level ground you won't have this problem.

Thanks for the info, I looked some up on the web today, looks like if its a category 1 it will work w/my BX, however there are several sizes, 5', 6' and 7', any idea how big I could go without something too big for the tractor?

Also, is the local Tractor Supply store the best option for buying new? Any on-line options for buying new or used to save some $$$'s?

I have the KingKutter XB rake. It fits fantastic on the BX, which it better, because it is made for it. I found the rake to be MUCH more useful after I put their gage wheel kit on.

I would recommend the Woods estate series. It is a 5' rake sized to fit the BX. I bought the wheels and would recomend them as well.

I have the woods 6' rake with the wheal kit and my BX 2350 does real well with it. It is made for a bigger tractor but I just turned the pins in and pay attention to the sides when I get close to things.:D I have had it fore over two years and have used it to pull out manure from behind the horse barn, level top soil and level gravel drives. I have never bent or broken a tooth in that time!

I have a BX24 and have a 7' rake with guage wheels. The 24 pulls it well.
