Bx23s 3rd function valve

So I installed a kubota 3rd function valve. The light goes on but when I press the button on the joy stick and go left or right there is no power at the valve. Any ideas.

I would suspect that the wire from the joy stick is broken or not making contact. Suggest you run a continuity check.
