Bx2380 Curtis Cab installation

Im taking ownership of a kubota bx2380 Monday or Tuesday dealer is putting together. I am using the tractor to pick golf balls at a golf driving range, my Mitsubishi mt372d is on its last leg that I currently use. My question is has anyone put a curtis cab bx80 on themselves? Dealer cant do it for a couple of weeks. I actually went to Curtis today and picked up the cab thru the dealer because they wont sell to the cosumer. I have put a curtis cab on my new holland tc33 and a curtis universal cab on my Mitsubishi. If anyone has is there any tricks to it? How long did it take you? Did you do it yourself or with help? How do you like the cab, any info would be great, thanks Mark

Thanks, yes I have. There are a few aftermarket companies that show installation but not a curtis cab. Messicks talks about the features of the Kubota(fancy) cab, which is made by curtis, But big difference. Ill keep looking. Just wondering if any one had done one themselves.

I know This is alittle different, but when I got the soft can kit for my rtv900xt, I installed it myself by the instructions that came with it. It probably would have been easier with 2 people to put the roof on it. Since you have put 2 on 2 other tractors, you already know how Curtis is setup. My only recommendation would be to not torque everything down until it was all together. If I would have done that on my rtv, I could have done in in half the time. It still only took a couple of hours to install it by myself. I wish I could be more help but don’t have any experience with the tractor cabs, just the rtv cabs. I’m betting you will like the cab on your BX once you get it installed.

I've been considering a Curtis cab for my BX for quite some time. The directions look to be very comprehensive, with which my dealer agreed. If/when I purchase one I'll be installing it myself.

I have a Curtis hard side cab on my BX25D-1. I put it on in November of 2014 with some help from my 81 year old Dad. It wasn't that bad of a job. Don't remember how long it took. I really like it. I take the doors and the rear window panel off for the summer here in south central Michigan.

Installed Curtis Cab yesterday with no hick ups, it took me a little over 4 hours. I have done a cab on a Mitsubishi and a New Holland before. I had help the last 2 hours putting the roof on and the doors on. The curtis manual was good, but pictures could be blown up a little more. When you first get it and open the box you see what seemed to be a million parts, I was a little overwhelmed . Followed the instructions and it went good. All the parts are nicely package and labeled. The only things was the spacer brackets for the front window were with the heater parts bag, couldnt find them at first and was a little annoying. My advice if you have the room take everything out of the box, and lay the parts spread out on the ground and dont tighten the bolts as you go because there will be some adjustments to be done to the cab.
