How far does your 3pt drop down? Mine well drop until the arm are level. Is that right?? Sure doesn't seem right, I would think they should go close to the ground.

Took this photo day before yesterday for another thread. Hmmmm... As you can see, the lower arms are below level and would go down another inch or so maybe? Don't know if that helps, but then again, how low do you need them to go? Is there an implement you have that requires your arms go even lower?

1st thanks for the reply. Mine aren't going near that low. I don't think they are going low enough to hook up my 5' mower. Must be something I'm doing wrong, well have to keep looking to see if I can find something.

May sound silly, but have you tried putting down pressure on them and how do you have your lowering speed dial adjusted?

When I had the BX1860, the 3pt hitch would not go low enough and I had to really push it to get it lower. I probably needed to scrapae some paint or oil it a bit but did not get a chance to. Th2 new BX2660 goes down much lower and easire and seems that the arms are moving much more freely.

Kubota changed the 3pt hitch in response to the many complaints of not being able to lift the rear implements high enough. The hitch has the same range of motion it did before, but won't go as low. They also did something like that on the new B2x20 series. On the B's however, there is another set of holes in the lower arms that the links can be pinned to, and that allows the lift to go lower. I don't think the BX has that, but they should. I know one other member had to mount 4x4's under his chippe so it would sit on the ground when attached to his BX24. I have to use the closer holes when using my middlebuster to get deep enough, and I may start using that set of holes with my tiller.

Many members have drilled additional holes in the lower arms. With an additional hole forward, the arms will go lower, and with an additional hole drilled aft of the present hole, the arms will lift higher. I don't personally see any reason not to do this. I may do this during the slow time of late fall or early winter. Don't have time right now to fuss with it, but it is a great idea that mimics the adjustments of the B, to some extent.

Although again, in this photo, if you zoom, you can see the arms go plenty low enough to allow the RFM to settle nicely on the ground.

I bought a new BX 25 last year and could'nt get the TPH arms to go much lower than parallel with the ground. The dealer took them apart and greased them. This made it better but I never found the arms went low enough.I now have an L3240 and the arms go much lower.
