BX2360 MMM grease zerks

I greased the Kub a few weeks ago , but didn't realise there was a
grease zerk at each end of the mower drive shaft . Now this morning
I thought I'd grease it ( read the WSM disc ........... ) , but I can't get
the gun end over the nipple . There's not enough clearance . Just
ended up squirting blue lube all over the show . Any clues guys ?
Both my guns have the same size connector and I can't see how a
smaller one would fit around the nipple.

I have had a BX2200 and BX2660 and always used a regular tip BUT you have to have the zerks in just the right position; hair's breadth one way or the other and it's a no-go. Until you get it down pat, it is a bear especially the back one.

I have seen tips with reduced diameter and I use to have one for my motorcycles, but don't remember where I got it. Good luck.

Remove the shaft from the deck and tractor......you should be able to access them when you can have full access to the universal joints.

We did this for the first few times on our BX2200, but found greasing in place was easier. My wife has taken the BX2660 and she is able to grease all the fittings without any real problem. OK, I do hear a little fussing from time to time, but not too often.

This is a non issue you just have to pivot the joint and the zerg will be exposed to easily fit any grease gun. The real pain is greasing the anti scalp wheels because the zergs just pull out of the plastic wheel when you try to remove the gun

Good luck, the only one that is a little hard for us is the back one on the drive shaft. We don't grease the wheels all that often.

Most auto supply houses will have a needle fitting that attaches to a standard grease gun tip and allows you to get into tight places.
