BX2350 w/FEL & 60\"MMM - BEST PRICE EVER!!!
I just had the wind blew out of my sail..........
I was looking at an ebay'd 2004 - 2230, FEL, 60"MMM, rear blade, 80+ hrs, warranty until Aug 2006, buy it now $11,600. Come to find out it's someone 7-8 miles from me and believe it or not, works at my company. (Previously purchased from E-bay the month b4 without the mower deck for 8600).
I decided to go price shop b4 I bought and realized that the local dealer (1 of 2) dealerships under that company name, has an <font color="blue"> 05' 2230, FEL, 60 "MMM for $13,200 OTD </font> . The <font color="red"> 06, 2350, FEL, 60"MMM = $14,800..... WAY TO HIGH... </font> /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
So I call the sister store, 30 miles away, GET THIS,,, <font color="blue"> 05 2230 equiped the same- $12,200 OTD </font> and the <font color="red">2350 Equipped same + Rad Guard = $11,890.00 OTD. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif </font> I have him double check his price and the equipment, then comes back the same $'s. SO, I GET EXCITED /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif, but very skeptical /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Ask him to FAX me a copy, all the while I'm thinking about buying 3 or 4 and listing them on EBAY for say $12,900 - 13K.... WISH FULL THINKING to drop my cost below 10K... I get the faxed copy the next morning, discuss it with the wife and although I'm really skeptical, I'm fixing to go for it, and the phone rings... YEP, he screwed up.... Says, the price list he was referring to shows the 2350, with Loader valve, 60" MMM etc - $11,200, not 2350, with LOADER , VALVE, 60"MMM...So I have to add $1600 to the price he says /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Still OTD is +/- $13,600, a whopping 11 to $1200 cheaper than the sister store.... Whats up wit dat, 1.5% sales tax I know of.....
I told the guy I understood the mix up,
BUT, I do have a quoted price of $11,890 in writing... Anyone a lawyer?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
So now I thought I had the best price around EVER.. This would be a no brainer decision, but now, I'm right back to the do I wana spend the extra cash or not.........
BTW, the "Good" dealer quoted me $296.00 + tax/freight for the turf tires in case anyone wants a reference. They are trying to talk me out of buying them stating the R4's will be fine for both applications????????
