Tractor
2006 MF GC2300 - 2005 CC-2042 - Honda Harmony self propelled
My tractor was stolen and Insurance will be covering it. I spec'd out the BX2350 and I think that's what I wanted. Insurance has spec'd out the Massey GC2300 (and it's more expensive). Can anyone tell me which would be a better tractor. I was really wanting the BX2350.

thanks

I was waffling between the MF2310 and the BX24. I went with the BX24 as I think there's more value for the money. The MF was a nice unit but just didn't get me as excited as the Kubota.

That is like asking which is better Ford or Chev. It depend on what you want. Did they give you a reason why they speced the MF?

No reason....just that this is what they spec'd and what they would replace it with.

I initially sent them the BX2350 and JD2305.....they came back with the MF.

I guess it has to do with their buying arrangments with vendors.

I guess I really can't complain as at least I'm getting a replacement.

I had never driven the MF. I did some time on the BX2350 so was basically wondering about the GC2300.

The GC2300 actually specs out better. More HP, lower rpms, more torque, heavier, etc.

although the ground clearance is about 2" less than the Kubota and the turning radius is a couple of inches more.

if it's just the difference between ford and chevy, them I'm ok.

the only really downside I've heard about the MF is the ergonomics. I've heard the Kubota's are better in that arena.

My stolen tractor had an Iseki engine that was bullet proof and I think the MF does too, so that makes me happy.

Thanks for the help

The whole tractor is made by Iseki for MF.

I can't imagine them having an arrangement with any tractor company, but they may.

That usually has about as much to do with personal preference as anything or that is how it is for a lot of things.
Is there a MF dealer in your area?
