Just came from the dealer and was given pricing on both above with FEL which came to 1,555.00. So what is a better buy. Looking at a total of 5.5 Ac. with at least 3.5 to keep and maintain. Need the FEL surprised to see that the Bx can lift more than the B, is it because of the CG. or what. Only difference I can see is clearance ht. BX at 6.5 and B at 12. The B has more options to pick from. Only need a r-mower, can used the fel as a front blade to smooth out the ruts, etc. (am I correct) Bx at $11,966 and B at 13,521. Would love the backhoe but can't justify the cost of one. priced the BX24, I think the price was around 15,000. BH was around 6,000.

reupop,
Not sure what you are referring to when you say the BX can lift more than the B. The loaders for the B7610 (LA352 and LA302) have lift capacities of 925lbs and 770lbs at bucket pivot and 670lbs and 550lbs at bucket center. Breakout force is listed at 1136lbs and 1120lbs respectively. The loader for the BX2350 (LA243) has a lift capacity listed at 518lbs and breakout force at 992lbs. 3PT lift for the 7610 is listed at 1356lbs and the 2350 is listed at 992lbs. Just wondering what you are comparing? Good luck hunting for your tractor!

Duber

Just to share my experience with the hope that it helps you out in your decision.

I had a 2003 BX1800 with a loader and MMM which, except for hp, is similar in size to the BX2350. I was using it to mow about 2 acres of yard, till and tend about 1/4 acre of sweet corn and 1/4 acre vegetable garden, snow removal on a long gravel road, rotary mowing a lot of field and fence edges, and maintenance of the gravel road. And many other miscellaneous small tractor jobs helping out around a small farm. It was consistently being used for small tractor jobs, probably as often as mowing the yard. Many people often remarked at how the BX stood up to all the jobs I asked of it. You'll never hear me say a bad word about the BX.

While it peformed all I asked, it took a toll on the tractor and me. It took more time, but I never ran out of hp. Recently I traded it on a B7610 with the 352 loader and 60" RFM. All the other attachments (RB, rotary mower, tiller, stone rake) can still be used on the B7610.

What a difference!!! The B7610 handles all the small tractor jobs much easier and quicker then the BX did. And with much less wear and tear on the tractor and me. For what I need a small tractor to do, the B7610 is definitely the best fit. I find it is much more tractor than the BX.

In my opinion, if you are going to mostly use the tractor for mowing a lawn or yard the BX2350 will serve you well. But if you are going to do more small tractor-type work on a consistent basis, the B7610 is the way to go. My experience is the BX is a great mower that can do small tractor jobs, and the B7610 is a tractor than can mow.

Lastly, in my experience, the FEL capacity on the B7610 is much higher (both on paper and in real-life use) than the BX.

In the end, buy what you can afford and what you like. Both are fine machines in my experience. Hope this helps you out.

My first experience with Kubotas was when I was building a new house and had no way to plow the driveway. He came over with his BX 23 and in five minutes I realized if I'm going to live in the country with these drifts I am getting a tractor like his. I never would have believed somthing that looked like a toy could be such a machine. It cleared 5" of snow in a 170' driveway in ten minutes. It would have taken about 3 hours of shoveling. Comparing the 2350 next to the 7510 is kind of like comparing tame turkeys to wild ones. Cool critters but not the same bird. The bx 2350 will do it like the last poster said, but for 2k more I bit the bullet and got the 7510. Bigger tires is easier over pot holes, easier on the axles and stuff. Bigger frame, 11 percent bigger engine. Even though the bx puts out 23 horse it takes 3200 rpm to get it, and that tells you somthing. Sure the engine can do it but rpms like that are for overhead cam gas engines, and diesels are best at 2000rpm or less. 7510 and 7610 are 21 horse but gets it at 2650 rpms. Big difference. If you aren't sure you want to spend the extra money on a 7610, the 7510 has just a little less lift on the fel, but is about 1k less. So go for the 7510, it's almost the same thing as the 7610.

Another thing you must consider is whether the ground you will be working is flat or not. The BX has a much lower center of gravity. When buying my BX, this was the critical point...I can mow my front ditch with my BX...the B2510 I tried wouldn't do it...started to tip before I got her out of there. I can handle a surprising amount of slope with that little thing. I actually get gawkers on occasion.... :)

Bigger is not ALWAYS better.

As delivered, our '2410' was somewhat unstable. We moved the wheels out on the rear axle and now I would be comfortable using it on nearly as much of a side grade as my BX2200.

The 2410 and the 7610 are cousins but I'm not completely sure what the rear axle setup is on the 7610.
