This is very strange!
Took loader off tractor and was working fine
Put on front mount snowblower to test and get ready for the snow.
The Hydraulic Shoot rotator goes only in 1 direction.
I reversed the 2 center quick disconnects and it goes in the other direction.
Then I connected the shoot hoses to the outer 2 and it worked in both directions.
Then I used the 2 center for raising the front hitch using the left to right lever and it went up and down.
Then I switched the lines on the center 2 valves and it would push down the snowblowerand raise the tractor but in that spot it would no release the pressure to let the blower go back up
Any ideas? Whats going on?

Push the loader control lever hard to the right. You should feel a detent or hard spot. Once you push the lever past that, the chute should rotate. You're dealing with the regeneration function in the control valve. There's lots of info about that. If you care to know search for regen.

Thanks for your reply!
I pushed the control lever hard to the right. So My take is that I need to have someone look at the control valve regeneration function. Is that a big job and whats involved in repairing this at a kubota dealership.

So you're saying you did not feel it move past the detent into the non-regen mode? Are you sure you pushed it hard enough? If your tractor is a more than a few years old and you've never used that position, it might just be sticking/rusted. All of the 50 series BXs should have the 4 position valves.

Yes..Pushed it hard right. Used the snowblower last year no problems
The tractor is a 2006 and I have 750 Hours on it. This is my first problem.
thanks

Do you have two or three spools on this valve? From your description it sounds like you have two.
It also sounds like you may have a quick disconnect that is failing.
Can you tell if both hoses get stiff when trying to rotate the chute? If yes your return line is being blocked by the QD not being held open.

Does either hose get stiff when trying to rotate the chute? If no, the pressure supply QD is not allowing oil to pass.

QD's can and have failed on me in this manner. They get a little wear on them or a spring gets weak and the check poppets or balls, depending on style, close with flow and act like check valves. If you haven't already try operating the functions with the tractor just off idle. They may work with less flow going through them.

I have a BX1850 and there is no "regen" function on the curl / dump circuit. This would be an accident waiting to happen since you would now have no control of the dump speed once the load goes overcenter. It does have the "float" position on the raise lower.

Push the stick hard to the right. You will feel the detent. Just like the float detent on down on the stick. Had the same problem with mine, but was told to push right and I thought they were nuts. It's there if you have the normal kubota valve. Good luck!

I recently went through the identical problem. I had Kubota Rep's agreement to replace the loader valve on my L5240 under warranty. No matter how hard I pushed the joystick to the right, it would not go through the detent and spin the chute. Drove the thing 25 miles to the dealer (not enough clearance under the blower to get it on the trailer). They called a couple of days later and told me that it worked for them. Sure enough, if I do it at a reasonable speed, the detent balls apparently drop in and seat firmly in the groove in the spool. But if you snap it QUICKLY to the right, the detent balls will run over the spool groove and the chute will rotate. Try snapping the joystick very quickly to the right.

Thanks Everyone...............Its Fixed
The problem was that one of the nuts that hold one of the linkages near the control valve was gone. It became loose over time and dropped off. This caused to much play in the lever and when you moved it hard to the right it would not go in regen. I had to get a nut from Kubota as they are special threads and no other nuts will work.
I am happy now................let it snow.............not
Thanks again
