BX2230 will be here next Saturday

/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I am just getting ready to move to my new place out in the country in NC and am looking forward to getting my brand spanking new BX2230 w/ FEL and BB. I have a couple of acres to cut and in the past when I lived with some yard to cut I used a John Deere lawn tractor. I almost went for another one this time because I had such good luck with the last but this time I have a dirt road to take care of which I did not before because my neighbor had a big Deere and an old Oliver that he like running the blade with. Now, no neighbor! Except for getting over the idea of spending 13k on a grass cutter I think it was definitely the right choice. Much cooler to look at and, hey, I will probably never have to buy another tractor (I'm 57). I will probably be on here daily asking for advice on how to do a million things. This is a great group. Just wanted to share.

Congratulations.

I'm still in the shopping phase, and just looked at the BX2230 today.
I've also looked at the John Deere 2210, but for purely aesthetic reasons, I seem to like orange better than green.

Your right, this is a great group, especially for someone like me, who hasn't looked at new tractors in at least 10 years.
I'm only 46, but hope the next tractor I buy will be my last as well.

My old Ford only has 1904 hours on it, and it's been in servie for 23 years with only minor maintenace.

Congrats on your new tractor! I think you will find that grass cutting will only be a minor use for this machine...the FEL will get a lot of time, in my experience. LOML and I generally use the machine for the loader 75+% of the time around here!
