does anyone have a fix for this? when lifting the mmm, it raises uneven, it seems as though when it gets to the mowing height it levels out but when raising the one side lift about an inch to 2 inches before the other side raises. I have checked the lift linkage and there seems to be play. Is this a sign someone used the deck as a step to get on and off the tractor?

I doubt that stepping on it, while not advised, would cause that. If you have linkage play, you can adjust that out. It probably levels on the down side because it's setting on the guide wheels, which it shouldn't be doing. They should be 1/4-1/2 off of the floor when down.

Snap a few pictures for us...Maybe someone will spot the problem.

Actually it's quite normal for one side (normally the right side on the 00 & 30 series BX's) to raise before the other.
The rasing mechanism primarily consists of a spring loaded bar that is connected to a bracket on the 3PH and then connects at the other end to the right side MMM lift bracketry. The left side of the MMM lift is a "slave" off of the right, meaning it's not powered and just "follows" the position of the right side lift link.
A properly adjusted MMM will "settle" plumb w/the blades level in the lowered position and allow the depth adjustment wheel to be set to the "top" position and lock the MMM in the highest position.
If the MMM's blades (not the shell) are not level side to side in the lowered position, you need to readjust
If you have an owners manual, it details the adustment proceedure and altho it appears alittle confusing at 1st read, it makes more sense as you get into it.
Good luck

I gree with Volfandt as my BX2200 did the same thing. I now pay more attention on the quality of cut than anything else.

I have also had to adjust the deck when the front bolts came loose and decided to "true everything up" while I was at it. I hope I never have to do that again.

First I heard of that being common...My the deck on my 23 goes up and down perfectly level..Differences in machines I guess.
