Bx2200 vs B7100

I just purchased a bx2200 w/ the 60"mmm and front blade. I am wondering how the 2200 will perform plowing snow vs the 7100hst. My neighbor had a 71 that i have used and it worked mint, never got stuck and it would push a ton of snow. I know the 2200 has more hp but is lighter (correct?) Any input would help, thanks. ken.

PS Does the kubota blade have down pressure? (For light grading jobs?)

The most important thing when pushing snow is traction. If you have R4's you will do fine. I have turfs on my b7500 and have to use tire chains. How long is your driveway? Do you get alot of snow at once. Living in Buffalo, NY we get tons so I have plenty of experience in snow removal.

I live in ne pa just below binghamton ny, at time we do get lots, more so here up on the hill. We are in the process of buying 4 acers, drive will be about 125, mainly flat. On the 7100 I used he had turf's and chains, I could plow up my driveway.

There will be not much difference, the BX has more engine displacement and horsepower and is approximately equal in weight. With the Bar tires (R1) it should provide plenty of snow plowing traction or with chains on turfs. I think there is less than 100 lbs difference in weight between the two units. Good luck. J

The weights, according to Kubota sales brochures, are as follows:

BX2200 = 1300lbs
B7100HSD = 1257 lbs

I'm pretty sure that are the basic weights of the tractor (neither of these weights include the mid-mower or any other attachments)/
