New BX2200 4-3-02 (traded 6-08) new B2620 06-08
Have BX2000 with FEL and MMM . Have done a lot with that little buddy. Hate to part with it. It will be like losing an old friend.

But, 4 years old and although nothing wrong with it, I was buying a new Hydro hose for it and saw the new 2x20's and so I traded.

Hope I am as happy with the 2620 as I have been with the BX 2200..

They deliver tomorrow afternoon..

Note to the BX2200 owners: Check the hose for the FEL that bends back to the tractor when the loader is off. Mine blew a hole after 4 years and made a mess. Lost a lot of fluid but all turned out well. You really cannot see the fatigue because the hose has that kelvar cover over it.

Also make sure you change both fuel filters. Yep, there are 2 of them...

That BX2000 has been a **** of a good machine. I hope it gets a good home and the new owners treat the girl well..

If you don't mind my asking what did you get on the trade for the BX 2200? I'm looking to move up to a B7800, the information might be handy as I start negotiations.

PM me

Thanks

I traded a BX2200 3 years ago for a B7800 which I have now traded for a L3240HST. I had a problem with the hose on the B7800 that I want to point out. The cover sleeve you mentioned would slide down and the hose would rub the lift arm of the FEL when using. It made a wear spot on the hose. Meant to get a tie strap and hold it away from the arm but never got around to it. I just slid the cover back over the hose when I would remember it. I also just traded a BX1500 to a BX2350 60"MMM and looked hard at the BX26?? but couldn't see the extra since I use it just for mowing and I have the L for other jobs but the old "Tim the Toolman (Demon/Angel)" fought me all the way over it. Ha!

Have the new B2620.. Wifey mowed the front yard and liked it. That surprised me. I got to mow the bottom this evening.. Nice feel. Feels big when I get close to things. Sure mowed the hill nice in mid range.

Plenty of power. Still learning. They are all different .. Just like the Ladies..

Hoosier Daddy,

I have a BX1800. My neighbor just bought a B2620 with FEL and backhoe. I have a 6 foot blade on the back of mine and we tried leveling part of his lawn with my rig....had some success even with turf tires on. Then we took off his backhoe, put on the drag links and hooked up my blade to the 2620 and took a swipe at the same spot on his lawn that he's trying to level......the blade dug in and churned up a ton of earth with the throttle set just above idle, and never hesitated! He then used the bucket to back drag and level what he'd just pulled up.

He'd already been down to my house and pulled some stumps with his backhoe (he pulled all the stumps at his place already) and is now looking to get a thumb for that. It's incredible the amount of power that thing generates. That tractor is excellent and I can't imagine you having any regrets! I'm jealous! Dyer, retired

I did not get the Backhoe with my 2620. I really wanted to but did not want to be bugged about someone wanting to borrow. If I need a Backhoe I can rent one from the dealer for the day or weekend. They told me they offer the service for this reason.

I also traded a bx2200 in for a b2620 about a month ago. Purchased the fel, 60'mmm, 5' landpride blade and rotary cutter. Had a time getting the "bush hog" adjusted to a mowing height that didn't drag the front of the mower. Looking to buy a rtr tiller now. Wife is in somewhat an agreement, so better hurry. I really like mine so far, had to get use to the pto on the 2620 though.

628pm,

My neighbor just bought my 6 foot blade to pull behind his B2620 after trying it on some lawn leveling he was doing. The 2620 will have no problem pulling the 5 footer you plan on using. I just purchased a Woods 5 footer to replace the one my neighbor bought....the smaller blade will work better for me behind my BX1800. Dyer, retired

I've only put 3 hours on my new B2620 but have noticed a few significant differences between my great old BX1800 and my new B2620. The 2620 is bigger but when the family first saw the new 2620 the comment was ... "it just looks like old Krusty, the 1800". Specs indicate the B2620 is only marginally bigger but the specs seem misleading. When I stand beside the 2620 and other tire sources. I am amazed at how bighthey are. Th fron itres also make teh BX fornts look like The loader is only 2 inches wider but the loader depth is deeper accomodating about 30 % more volume in the bucket. Also when I tried levelling a rough area the 2620 FEL bit right into the ground and scooped up a bunch of earth. The BX couldn't have bit up that much soil if i'd ben trying to do it.

When sitting on and operating the 2620 I feel like I'm sitting on an elephant. A pile of manure I was stirring with the old BX which took 6 or more flips with the BX loader could be flipped with 3 tries with the 2620. Frankly I find the 2620 to be awkward to manouver compared with my nimble little 1800. Also I find it more of an effort to mount and dismount. Fuel consumption is much higher with the 2620. The garage seems smaller now as well
