Ok, I'm new here. I have a new BX2200 with 72 hours. This weekend as I was tilling tree rows my speed control pedal started becoming sticky. Having read the posts on this common problem with the BX, I have religiously kept the pedal pivot greased. Well, thinking that the dusty conditions could have caused the problem; I disconnected the lever and piston from the pedal below the foot platform. The pedal moves freely and the bushing is well greased. I pumped in extra just to be sure until it squeezed out fresh on both ends of the bushing. Next, I disconnected the spring and replaced the connecting rod. At this point the shock absorbing piston and the spring are disconnected. I can tell that the resistance is in the movement of either the control shaft external to the transmission that moves the swash plate or it is internal to the transmission. I sprayed the external shaft liberally with WD40 hoping that might solve the problem. No joy. Anyone have any ideas (other than I'll probably call the dealer tomorrow).
