I took my starter off to have rebuilt but when I went to put it back on (weeks later) I cant remember where the white wire (the one that comes apart in the middle) connects back to? If I hook it up on the post with the 2 red wires the tractor starts fine, but wont shut off, if I put it on the ground bolt (where it just does reach to and looks like it belongs) the tractor turns over but wont start? I dont know if something went wrong with the rebuild or I am missing something? Does anyone have a picture of one that shows all the wires that they can send me? jhamilton@teklinks.com
thanks

No picture handy but you can goto kubotabooks.com and down a pdf of an exploded parts book and you might be able to tell from that

My wiring schematic shows a white wire going directly to a solenoid. I do have to mow after bit, so I will take a good look, and get back to you.

Hello,
Got the grass all mowed, and it sure was hot. I could not see the starter at all with the hood on, so I took it off and snapped a few pictures. The white wire comes out of a wire loom and then there is a connector. One end goes from the connector, then up and over the starter, and through some sort of rubber cover down to the starter solenoid area. I hope this helps.
If not, PM me and I can try to help further. Also, I may try to sketch up that part of the schematic and post it if needed.

That was perfect! I thought that was where it might go, but didnt want to risk burning up the solenoid. I got it put back on and everything is good. I am so happy to have my tractor back! I mowed my field until well after dark last night.

EE thanks for going through the trouble of taking the hood off to get the picture. Its much appreciated.
