I have a BX2200 that has a bucket loader for the summer and a snow blower for the winter.

Everything on the tractor is made by Kobota.

Today, I installed the snow blower, but cannot get the up/down hydraulics to work.

Spent all afternoon trying everything - swapping hose connections did not have a solution.

The hydraulic valve has 4 hoses coming out of it, and the snow blower has 2 hoses.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks

On my BX2230 the lift hoses go on the two fittings closest to the tractor dash. They have yellow & white caps on them.
I have the "4 position valve" on mine.

Does it "squeal" or just do nothing? It sure seems like it's not connected right, especially if the loader was working properly. Maybe check the fluid level but other than that it's down to which hoses go where. On my BX25 it's also the white and yellow but they are the top and bottom, the two in the middle are not connected.

Good luck and keep us posted.

We don't have a blower on our BX2660, but we have a blade and the center two connectors are one function while the outer two are the other.

On my John Deere 455, when I added my snowblower this fall, it wouldn,t lift. Some kind soul on here had posted that sometimes the valve sticks were the two hoses plug in, and it needs a slight tap with a very small hammer to break the rust that kept it from moving when I used the lever near my steering wheel.Sure enough, that is all it was, it stuck cause it hadn,t been used in about 7 months. The pair of couplings that raise and lower my blower are side by side.
Follow your linkage, and you should be able to see which fittings your hoses need to be plugged in to to work. And don,t forget to give the end of the solenoid a nice gentle tap. And lube it up with some waterproof lube. I used Fluid Film. Good luck. And please let us know what you find the fix to be.

If memory serves, when I had a 2200 I had disconnected the supply line that feeds the valve. Once connected all was good.

Valve On Loader Front View Photo by Kubota99_2008 | Photobucket

The set up for the loader valve if you are looking at the valve is as follows:

Left Top: Blue
Right Top: White
Left Bottom: Red
Right Bottom: Yellow

The hoses on the loader side should be color coded and connected as noted above colors.

When you connect the blower the front lift is connected to the Blue and Red on the loader valve as noted above.

Hope this helps.

Diagnosed the issue - bad spool valve in the 4 way valve. It will need to be rebuilt.
