Well, I pulled the snowblower off for the season and was very dissapointed to see that the right auger was mashed down very bad. At some point in the season I had sheared the bolt that acts as a shear pin. Not knowing better, I replaced it with a 1/4 bolt. Big mistake! We had a heavy snow fall about mid winter and I hit a metal bar in the snow. At the time it made quite a racket but it seemed fine once I backed away. I was surprised that it didn't shear the bolt so I went on as usual. I used the blower a few times since then and really didn't notice any problems. It looks bad. I think I'll be ahead by purchasing a new auger. I quoted one online for $109. Does anyone have nay recommendations on where I can find a better price?

Also, can anyone give me a tip on how it all comes apart?

Thanks,
mike

What about straightening the bent auger? Or is the shaft bent as well? Can you supply a photo?

The manual doesn't show the assembly for the auger. Maybe the Canadian Manufactirer can help. Believe that the comapny's name is Rad Technologies. I have their site bookmarked but can't figure out how to include it in this message.

Good luck
