My tractor is just a hair newer than yours, BX2230. I bought a 56" last year. I have no issues with handling that big, I doubt 4 more inches would bother much either.
I went 3pt because for a tractor that is already 15 years old (or more), I don't think the proprietary resale market will be all that dandy. The quick hitch and (and probably the blower models as well) do not match the 50-80 series that are available now. I am thinking about a camera and monitor to mitigate some of the neck issues the others talk about but it wasn't really an issue for me last year.
You have your eyes on one locally and that's great; used will save some money for sure. But I bought a Bercomac specifically because I have a soft cab (originalcab.com) and this one comes with electric controls for chute and deflector on the base unit. A crank just wasn't feasible. Hydraulic is available, but I believe it actually bumps the price.
Berco doesn't seem to be a well known brand as near as I can tell, but behind the scenes, they make a ton of the ATV/UTV blowers as well as front mount lawn tractor blowers. This is the one I bought.
