Hello,
I just bought a new BX2200, 60 MMM, 48 Woods Box, & FEL. I have 13 hours on this unit. I have found that it is very difficult to switch between the various PTO's after engaging the PTO and stopping it. Example, I have the PTO lever selected to the MMM only, I engage the PTO, stop it, and then try to select a different PTO such as the MM and the rear, or just the rear, and I can't get that lever to work smoothly. Now if I hand turn the rear PTO a bit, or move the MMM belt slightly, the lever will work fine. The teeth just don't seem to be matching up. I called the dealer who sent a mech. to my house and he saw what I meant, and then went back to the dealership and found that the 2 other new BX2200's are doing the same thing. He said there is nothing wrong with the machine or gear boxes, it just needs some use to loosen up those PTO gears. Any thoughts?? I have the 3 year warranty, but I sure hate to think something could be done early on to fix this. Maybe it is just new and tight. I have never dealt with PTO's before. Input would be appreciated, since it was all of your input over the last year that helped me buy this fun toy!!
Your knowledge has been well respected from this end. BTW, this tractor is a workhorse, gotta like that diesel engine.
