Price Check BX2200 pricing

Question regarding Kubota BX2200 pricing. Just got a quote from Service Motors here in NE Wisconsin for a new BX2200 with a 54" belly mower, grill guard, block heater and FEL. The total cost is $12,995. Does this seem like a good price?

I just purchased a BX2200 with a 60 MMM and FEL in South Jersey for $11,650.00 if that helps.

Dan, from the research I did here last summer that price looks a bit high. I paid $13,000 even for the BX2200, FEL & Grille Guard, a 60-inch Woods rear blade, loaded rear tires, and grade 70 grab hooks welded to the FEL bucket. And I figure I got a fair but not outstanding deal.

Dan, I live in De Pere and have also been to Service Motors. They seem pretty high. Would you like to get a few bx's shipped back here? I could arrange trucking. Looks like prices are much better elsewhere. This is from a dealer that advertises on this website. I looked into trucking and it would be about $500.00 with the discount I have set up for trucking at work. There is also a dealer out near Bonduel or Black Creek, my buddy bought one out there, better pricing, I will find out where and post tommorow.

I also live in Green Bay, and have been to SMC several
times. I also feel that they do not offer deals to write
home about. I would like to get a M series tractor, but
have not felt comfortable with any of their deals to date.
I may have to settle on a John Deere somewhere else.

Thanks for all the information guys. RWL I will be buying a BX2000 in 1-4 wks. I got a revised quote last week for about $11,400 from Jonathon at Carver Equipment in North Carolina. (I left my sheet with the exact numbers at work....). $750 of this was for shipping. If you are interested in buying a tractor also, perhaps we could work out an arrangement that would be mutually beneficial?

Good for you. You are on a more accelerated program. I need to wait to see if I am putting up the new house. Still getting bids. I hope I get to put in a lawn, 2.8 acres, this summer. I hope to buy in April/May. I hope Service Motors takes care of warranty issues. They really were talking down about the dealers that sell on the internet, telling a buddy of mine that you will get an unassembled tractor that is not set up and adjusted correctly. I think that they should re-adjust their thinking if they want to compete. Good luck.

I got my BX from Carver and was totally satisfied. It was just exactly as I ordered, and topped off with fuel and ready to work right off the truck. Earlier, I told my local dealer up front that I would probably buy from Carver. He promptly told me that, if Carver could beat his best deal, then I shouldn't hesitate. He also told me that his shop is 1st come, first serve and I need not worry about being turned down. I've come to believe that people's fear of not getting good service if you weren't a customer is more hype than fact based on a few isolated cases. Since my local dealer was honest and straightforward with me, I will be buying all my implements from him. So, he actually came out pretty good versus the outcome if he had shut his shop doors on me. I believe 90%+ of the dealers recognize this. A good salesman is always thinking of future sales and growing the customer base - not just a one-time, all-or-nothing small profit.
As to Mr. Steve Carver... I believe he knows he MUST deliver a great product. Imagine the internet sales he could lose if he just ships ONE unit that is not right due to his negligence. Can you imagine the damage that one person could do by plastering bad PR here on TBN and/or other discussion groups?
