I'm thinking of buying the front blade (two way hydraulic) for the BX2200. My brother in law says I should get the FEL, and use it to 'plow', and it would be more useful for other things. Any thoughts on that? FEL doesn't seem very appropriate for plowing snow. My driveway is 250 feet, straight.

Thanks,

Don't know where you live, but FEL will not work with more than a few inches of snow and a short run. I'm in NYS' snow belt and love the rear mount snowblower. No more snowbanks and it doesn't matter how deep the snow is. Plowed with a truck for years and miss the heated cab, but that's all I miss.

I can't respond to how a FEL does plowing snow since I've only had my NH TC25D for 2 weeks, but I can vouch for the usefulness of the FEL in other tasks. Moving mulch, loading manure into a truck, moving firewood, etc. Hard to perform these tasks with a blade /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.

I live in central ohio, so no big snow falls. I use the fel on about 150' of driveway. It works OK. But if I was back in real snow country, a blade or blower would be worth the price.

Get that FEL, so many extra uses. Spend a few hundred and buy a rear blade to move the snow.
