BX 2200
I have a BX2200 with 450 hours. It has just developed an engine oil leak at the front of the engine just above the front axle. I am unable to tell if the oil pan is leaking or perhaps the main crankshaft seal. I'm hoping the oil pan gasket is the culprit but fear that the main seal may be the problem.

Has anyone else had any similar engine oil leaks?

Thanks,

TomPh

That's the transaxle seal, it's on the top of the front axle. Mine had that and luckily I got it fixed under warranty.
I probably overfilled the darn thing since Kubota overlooked stating how you check the dipstick level, meaning I did not know whether to screw it in to check it, or simply sitck it in an out for the correct level.
These details are important for them to mention, as it seems to vary between mfgs as to how you check the fluid level.
I hope that yours is the transaxle too, better than the engine leaking!
