I purchased a BX2200 oil filter on line.
They put the BX1800 oil filter (15853-32439) p/n on the invoice and mailed me something else (15853-32430)

I went to two other WEb pages and found the following part numbers
Equiptment Service and Sales (15241-32099)
Carver Equiptment (15241-320901)

I called Kubota North Division (they didn't ever want to give me a part number..semi-rude)
He said the part number is (70000-15241)

Does anyone have a proper part number and a possible explaination of all the part numbers floating around.

How about a transmission filter?

I've read in this forum that Kubota uses different manufacturers at different times for their filters. This results in the part numbers (and filter dimensions) changing occasionally. I just purchased an oil and transmission fluid filter for my BX2200 on 10/01. The part numbers were:

Oil Filter: 70000-15241 ($5.09)
Hyd/ Trans. Filter: K2561-36990 ($12.65)

The oil filter was a slightly different size than the original, but I was assured it would fit and it did.

Hope this helps. Have Fun,

Lawndart

I don't have the proper part number (pretty sure the number for a B2410 won't help you /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif)...however I do want to comment on the "multiple numbers out there". When I was looking for filter part numbers I got them from a gentleman on the board here. I got different numbers via a call to a local dealer. When I went in I took the print off of the message from TBN and we went over the Kubota online parts catalog. Turns out the numbers from TBN were correct....almost. The last digit on the part number apparently is insignificant. It refers to color or manufacturing site or something we don't tend to care about. Thus if the last number doesn't match it should still ok.

This is very frustrating with Kubota oil filter part numbers. I have never gotten the same Kubota oil filter twice. I have heard so many opinions stating that you should always use original Kubota filters, then why is there so many different part numbers? I find it hard to believe that all these different filters match the same specs!!

The question about what is the BX2200 hydraulic transmission oil part number? I have the following info:

Carver Equipment list on his Web site: 66021-36060
The BX2200 parts manual uses: K2561-36990

You can cross reference the 66021-36060 part numer to a WIX 51367. However the other part number does not cross reference over to a WIX. I have been using the WIX 51367 for my BX2200.

WIX filters are rated very highly. I am bothered by the fact that one filter crosses over but the other does not.
What do you guys think?

Jon,
I think Kubota filter part numbers are a joke. I think some blue and green guy's have infiltrated the orange parts management system and they know that every 50, 100,200 etc. hours all of the orange guy's get %*#@ off. They think the next time we go shoping for a tractor we will start with the filters.

Interesting numbering system we have here. I've been running Fram filters from Wal-Mart. Cheap, easy to always get and I can use them on my daughter's Honda when she needs an oil change.

Oh no. Now we have a Fram part number that will fit the BX. Don't let Kubota know that, they may add it to the parts list. I wonder what that cross references to?
