Grading BX2200 MMM and blade use

I just bought a BX2200 with a MMM and would like to use a rear blade without removing the mower. It says in the manual you can lock the mower in a raised position but the knob on mine will not move past the highest grass setting. Am I missing something?

While in the up position, you should be able to rotate the knob to the setting that says 'top'. It rotate right in to the setting. There have been some threads with people stating their height adjustment knob doesn't turn freely.

Does the knob turn easily other than the difficulty in locking it into the up position?

Read through your manual and perform a full setup of the deck lifting arms. One of them is set short and will not lift the links high enough.

The “auto return to neutral” feature on your lift will usually prevent the lift from going all the way up. While in the raised position, try moving the lever to the raise position again and hold it there a second. You should get a little more lift, and then you should be able to turn the height adjustment knob to the “Top” position.

That is a good thought, I am so used to running it up that I forgot to mention it !!! Mine was not set up right and it would not raise to the top position.

It turns freely except to the TOP mark. I'm assuming that it rotates clockwise 1-2-3-4-TOP?

well, I don't know, perhaps taking it off would help protect your $$ investment in the deck, IMHO.

You should be able to rotate it in either direction. I just came in from trying it on my BX23 and it should move freely in both directions.
