BX2200 Hydro Fluid Capacity

Changed the Hydro fluid and filter on my BX2200...manual says 2.7 gallons Super UDT to fill. I'm 1/2 quart shy of 3 gallons but no Super UDT on the dip stick. Whats the concenus out there from those who have changed the Hyro fliud in their BX2200. Is the manual wrong? Does the 2.7 number include the filter? If so, and it takes 3 gallons with filter that would mean the filter holds 1 quart and this seems to be a little much.

Changed my hydro fluid yesterday, including filter, as part of my 50 hour service on the BX2200.

Ended up with around a quart left out of three gallons. Checks out fine on the dipstick.

One quart shy of 3 gallons is not quite 2.7. I would fill to it shows on the stick. Then cycle your hydrualics, loader and stuff and then check again. If too much siphon off a bit, if too low add a touch. It is a messy operation for sure. Yeah, the manual is not quite right and explains why so many BX units are deleivered with "low" fluid. J

Looks like Friday was a 50 hour service day I also changed the fluid and filter and used just under 3 gallons.

i just changed the hydro fluid in my bx2200, at ten qts. i started watching the dipstick. it took 12 qts to bring the fluid level between the marks on the dipstick.

rmc - You mentioned in one of your previous postings that you bought your bx2200 from a south NJ dealer for approximately 11,600. Which dealer did you use? I also live in NJ. Thanks.

I purchased my bx2200 from Larry Jones of Advantage in Cape May County. He has (on Friday 5/17) a BX22 available.
