BX2200 FEL Question

My LA211 seems to lack lift and curl power when loading the bucket from a pile. Does anyone know what pressure the relief valve is set at and where it is located at on the four way valve. ??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

BX brochure states that the relief is set @ 1780 psi. Sorry, but I don't know the location of the relief adjustment. Don't forget the warranty. I notice too that the fel can run out of oompf sometimes. At first I thought it was underpowered. After thinking about it they are probably just trying to protect the machine from being overstressed, or limiting pressure so that an inexperienced operator can't get into too much trouble. It'd be great to find out their reasoning for the pressure limit.

Thanks for the reply that answers half my question. I just want to check and see if the pressure is right. I'm digging a thirty by fifty six foot basement for my son with a caddigger and need to move about 400 yards of dirt. just a little more power would sure help. This tractor amazes me at what it can do. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I found that backing up a little bit after digging the bucket in while raising/curling helps a lot. I guess it takes some load off breaking out the load from the pile.

I agree with the note that backing up a bit while curling and lifting does help. Remember that the rating is less than 500 pounds and if you are using a toothbar you need to reduce your payload by that amount. Also, when you are lifting you need to look at the rear wheels. I found that sometimes I was concentrating so much on the loading I didn't realize that I was lifting the rear end of the machine. This is a combination of not having enough counter-weight in the 3ph weight box and overloading the bucket
Also, remember "Low and Slow".

My FEL has a sticker on the moubnting frame showing what happens when you put the joy stick in a particular position. There is an "X" in that spot meaning don't try to lift and curl at the same time.
Says the same thing in the manual.

Good idea! My manual has the same warning about not using the "southwest corner" position. I am not sure if there is a sticker as I have a cab which probably covers that up.....
