Kubota BX2200
I spent an hour looking for the FUEL SHUT OFF TIMER RELAY on my BX2200. A Parts Diagram shows it mounted to the firewall up under the dash, next to the Blinker Module. I can plainly see the Blinker Module, but there is NO FUEL SHUT OFF TIMER RELAY anywhere to be found under the dash. I looked around the engine bay without any luck. YES... I know what it looks like.
Has anyone else been able to locate the module somewhere else on the tractor???

Not sure about a BX2200, but on my BX2230, it's on the dash bulkhead on the right side under the dash. Mine was acting up, and after I pulled the connector off and cleaned the contacts and the problem went away.

Yes, I've looked everywhere under the dash, both sides of the firewall (bulkhead). It has to be somewhere!!! Why me???
I've owned the tractor since new, so no one had relocated the timer.
😢

Have you checked the side of the engine block to the side of the fuel filter?

CORRECTION.... On Messicks, the parts diagram show it under the dash on the firewall on the left side.

I need to pull the side panels off to get a good look around the engine. I didn't want to take too much apart last night because we were to get a bunch of snow here in Central Onio.
I made a really nice, heavy duty grill protector when I put a front end loader on it, but it's a PIA to get off so I can remove it he side panels.
Thanks for the suggestion.

The bX2200 does not have a fuel shutoff relay. That is used on the BX1800. The BX2200 uses a solenoid on the side of the injection pump. That solenoid has two coils, one is the pull in coil, that is energized when the starter turns over, and the other is a hold coil that is energized when the key is on.

Note the D905 and D722 (I think, going from memory here) on the wiring diagram/schematic. Ignore the part designated D722 (or whatever the correct BX1800 engine number may be).

The diagram is certainly confusing if you do not understand they tried to combine two different units on one diagram.

Edit: The reason I know this is because my BX2200 fuel cutoff solenoid failed last summer...

Henro just gave you THE cats meeow of info. Great info. My BX2200 has not had that disease yet but if it does I hope I can find this thread ! MEANWHILE , WeldGuy, you did not say how you decided you had a fuel shutoff relay problem. What is the overall story?

The problem that has made me suspicious of the Fuel Shut Off Solenoid (or related item) is the tractor periodically dies... like it's run out of fuel. The first time it did this was a couple weeks after I changed the fuel filters last summer, so I ruled out plugged filters. Whenever it does it, I can hear the lift pump (supply pump) still clicking away, so I ruled that out. It will always restart immediately. Last week, while pushing snow, it did it three times in one hour. I know it wasn't gelled fuel because I always add Power Service treatment in the winter months.
I also tried wiggling and tugging on the wires behind the ignition switch, twisted the wire harness leading to the solenoid and wiggled the key, but never could get it to stall.

Since the problem started AFTER you changed the fuel filters, perhaps the issue is related to changing those filters.

When the tractor dies, does it start back up? Does it start but then cut out when you release the key from the start position? If it cranks but does not start, it sure sounds like a fuel supply issue.

HENRO,
As I stated above, it always restarts immediately after "stalling out." It always cold starts (after glow plug warm up) as soon as I turn the key. It didn't begin doing this right after I changed filters. It may have been weeks after. I have experiences diesel behavior when filters restrict flow, but this is an immediate shut down with NO indication of power loss.

I know intermittent problems are the worst. I have a new Shut Off Solenoid and I'll install it next week when our weather warms up a bit.
