I AM ABOUT TO REGISTER 50 HRS ON MY BX2200 AND I WILL BE DOING THE MAINTENANCE MYSELF .OTHER THAN FOLLOWING THE OWNERS MANUAL DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL ITEMS THAT I SHOULD CHECK OR REPLACE.MY TRACTOR TO THIS POINT HAS PERFORMED FLAWLESSLY DOING MOSTLY LOADER WORK,AND GRADING WITH A BOX BLADE AND A YORK RAKE.

duster, I've only seen one BX2200 and haven't seen one of their manuals yet, but if it's anything like the other Kubota manuals (and I suspect it is), then you'll be all right if you just do everything the manual says. Try not to miss any of the drain plugs like I did./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I don't know how many the BX2200 has, but my B2710 has two separate drain plugs for the motor oil (besides the filter, of course), and 4 drain plugs for the transmission, in addition to the 2 strainers and filter. I only missed one drain plug./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

I just finish 50hr maint. Washed tractor before maint.
Changed trans fluid(only 1 plug at very bottom of tranny), clean metal trans screen(had metal shavings totaling the size of of dime), change trans filter. Old Trans fluid was light gray. Replaced with Super UDT and Kubota filter. Old oil was dark brown. Also changed oil/filter. Replaced with Mobil Delvac Super 15w-40 and kubota filter. Going to change the front axle very soon(did not like seeing all those shavings in the tranny). Cleaned Air filter(compressed air). Not really dirty. Overall very pleased with how versitile it is. Great at climbing hills while cutting. Wish I had more work to do or time to drive my Kubota!

I ALSO HAD METAL SHAVINGS IN THE TRANS SCREEN, SOME OF THEM WERE LIKE SLIVERS.THE TRANS OIL IT SELF AS IT WAS DRAINING WAS CLEAN LOOKING WITHOUT ANY NOTICABLE SHAVINGS.I DO HAVE THREE PROBLEMS THAT I AM SCHEDULING A SERVICE VISIT FOR AND THEY ARE ,BOTH OF THE LOADER LIFT CYLINDERS ARE LEAKING VERY LIGHTLY AND THE 2ND PROBLEM IS THE BUCKET SOME TIMES WILL NOT DUMP ON THE FIRST MOVEMENT OF THE JOYSTICK TO THE RIGHT, I SOME TIMES HAVE TO TRY TWO OR THREE TIMES TO GET IT TO DUMP.THE TRACTOR ALSO CREEPS WHILE IDLING ONLY IN THE REVERSE DIRECTION.RIGHT NOW I HAVE 80 HOURS ON MY BX2200 I HOPE THESE PROBLEMS ARE MINOR AND NOT A RESULT OF THE SHAVINGS FOUND IN THE FILTER SCREEN.KEEP US POSTED IF YOU DEVELOPE SIMILAIRE PROBLEMS .
