Ok, calling all BX-22 owners. I am looking at purchasing a BX22 with the front mount snowblower and have a couple questions.

1) It looks like there are a seperate set of removable pins on right side of the LA210 loader so that you can remove the loader easily without removing the control valve. This does not seem to be on the LA211. Is this true? Whet does the owners manual say on this?

2). To add the quick attach front end for the snow blower is the front grill in the way? Can you quickly remove the snow blower and reattach the loader without taking off the quick attach front end? Also must the front quick attach come off each spring to use the mower?

Thanks in advance

You were correct in your assumption. When you attach the front hitch for the snowblower, you must remove the grill guard, and the lower right upright arm of the FEL needs to be reattached to the tractor. There are two pins (one at the top and one on the cylinder) that have snap removal pins as opposed to cotter pins. These allow the arm with the valve to be removed and put back on the tractor, so you've got the hyd. valve. It's a bit of a mess as the pins are (hopefully) well greased. There have been some threads here of people who have made a bracket that mounts the valve assembly to the frame so that this messy proceedure isn't needed. Hopefully someone will post a link.

As for the FEL with the hitch attached, I haven't tried it but there seems to be no reason why you couldn't do it. Just swap the hoses as needed.

Just a quick question, are you thinking what I thing you are thinking, that is snowblower is great unless it gets so deep that you think you need a loader to bail yourself out ?

My prior experience with a blower mounted on the front of my large frame Simplicity was that 6' drifts could be tackled with the blower. I would "tunnel" the snow with the blower, then hit it wit a shovel to collapse it. Then blow again. I had 500' of 5'+ deep that I would open this way. I hope I never need the loader for the snow.

Nope, the snow isn't that deep... The kids like me to make a big pile of snow for them to play on.... The loader works great for this but the kink in the back of my neck from plowing with the rear blade has me looking at a front blower.
