Hi Folks,

My BX22 arrived yesterday evening and I spent until dark playing, I mean working.... Never ran a hoe before so I've got some learning to do.

One thing I have noticed so far is that the trottle lever on this machine works a lot harder than on the two BX2200's that I have used. Is this normal or is there an adjustment that can be made?

They did an excellent job of welding the bucket hooks on. All three are reinforced with extra steel plate. A very proffessional job, looks just like it came from the factory that way. I don't have a digital camera otherwise I would post some pictures.

I have a lot of fruit trees to mow around so I have to figure some easy way/modification to the folding ROPS so I can get the top portion off and on easily. I don't care for it in the folded position. On the BX2200 it would have been easy to take the non folding one off for that mowing but I notice that the seat on the BX22 latches to the lower portion of the folding ROPS when rotated.

Where did you people purchase your service manuals/parts books from, the dealer or somewhere else?

This weekend I'll practice taking the FEL and Hoe off. The first thing I plan on adding amongst other things are some work lights. I can see where all my money is going to go this summer......

Yeah! No photos? Geez....

I have the parts blowups in PDF format for the loader, base machine, backhoe and 60" deck; send me an email as I think they're too large to post here.

Congrats on the new BX!!!

One thing I do like about the way the ROPS folds to halfway point - by doing this my rear worklight (mouted on the side of the top part of ROPS) becomes focused on the 3 pt hitch, implement area for attaching or unhooking implements after dark.

Had to smile reading the replies..... Just got the tractor, I'll work on the pictures this weekend /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.... Don't have a digital camera so I'll get some regular film put to a picture disc.

Gregg, thanks so much for the offer. Sent you an email. Again, thanks.

Last night I dug out some big tree limbs that the excavator covered over in my back yard. Haven't been able to ever mow in this area since building the house years ago. I've got a lot to learn running a hoe correctly.

Has anyone else noticed the difference in the headlights between the BX22 and the BX2200? The BX2200 I had sitting here for a couple of weeks only had headlights that took what appeared to be 1157 type automotive bulbs and were pretty anemic.

When I first turned on the lights of my BX22 I had to get off the tractor and look as they were so bright. They look like regular sealed beam units instead of the plastic things on the BX2200, I'll take a closer look tonight.

Tried mowing with the ROPS folded and it gets in the way around the fruit trees. The branches tend to hang up on the knobs located on the sides. I may see if I can purchase the lower portion of the ROPS and modify it so it will work better around the trees.

This is a great forum and I hope I'll be able to be helpful here as time goes by and I learn more about the tractor....

Thanks much........ Dave...

Thanks Gregg... got them. They will be very helpful.

I also want to thank everyone here for all the information I was able to get when deciding to buy the BX22. There is a lot of good information on these forums.

Got the stiff throttle problem fixed, two nuts underneath to adjust tension. Dad has the tractor out digging holes somewhere today, looking for plugged land tiles.

Have to get over to the fuel forum and post. I have a chance to get an aluminum side tank from a semi for free and wonder if it would make a good bulk storage tank.

Later... Dave, a happy BX22 owner /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Frank....

Excited, heck yes /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I can tell where my time/money is going to go this summer. Been on the tractor every evening. Last night didn't get dinner until midnight. This thing is addicting /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
