Well I finally got a chance to plow the garden tonight. Between all the rain we've had (who hasn't right?) and getting my rear hitch built, I am only about 1 month behind normal schedule. Well I gotta say that this BX1800 is the cats meow!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I used to do this with my old Cub 1811 and had to get going as fast as possible or I would get stuck (which of course I always managed at least once or twice anyhow). The other problem with hot rodding the Cub was that it beat the living daylights out of me on the rough and bumpy ruts!!!
Well that is all over now, with my BX, I just put it in 4x4 low and cruise along with no jarring at all. Of course I do still have to look backward to watch the plow, so I guess I will still get a bit of stiff neck.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Well here are a few pictures of the before and after including my new hitch that I designed. I needed a way to use my old plow that used to be used on a sleeve hitch. I had the hitch and 2 receivers built at a local fab shop for $100. They gave me a heck of a deal and it was well worth it. The second receiver is has a 2" ball for moving trailers around.
