On the first test drive the foward-rev pedel was easy and light, but after delivery it is very hard to push, is this because of FEL, or is normal,if not, can I adjust spring tension

Yes there is an adjustment on the spring under the tractor inside of frame rail. But be carfull not to loosen it to mutch or tractor will be slow to come to a stop,or may not stop .your owners manual shows the return spring pg.49 hydro neutral spring.this also afects how fast the pedel will return to neutral when you remove your foot.I tightend mine because it was to slow to stop when i removed foot, and sometimes stayed in travel.if you decide to change be carfull ,make small adjustments and try,and try again, take it slow and test from slow to fast travel, make sure it will stop fairly quickly when your foot is removed.be safe and carfull for these little tractors will hurt you just as bad as a realy big one.

The only thing I can add to Tim's comments is it is a lot easier to get to with the mid-mount mower deck detached (if you have one).

On other subjects: Welcome to TBN and BX ownership.

I myself will be pulling hard for Duke tomorrow, even though I would of preferred the Terps against Arizona. It's up to Duke to complete the ACC destruction of the PAC-10. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. No matter which side you rooted for last night, once again Terps and Duke made sure our hearts skipped a few beats and the adrenaline flowed! I love the ACC.

If it is a new tractor why not just call the dealer to come out and fix it. Mine has done little adjustments for me --free--yours should to. Heck, that way when you decide that you need more traction, cannot get enough traction and must have a L4610 (26.3554 X a BX) to mow your 2 acres with cuz old man Carver thinks the 2410 is three times faster than a BX he will be able to count on your buisness! Ya know, I never saw a 2410 mowing at 18 MPH. I think I am going to take the speed fairing off my crotch rocket and attach it to my BX for high speed mowing, that wind really messes up my hair. Some people think the Harley is three times the bike my rice burner is but then when I pass them at 90 doing a wheelie I wonder sometimes if that might be true--nah. Is there a symbol for I think someone is smoking something? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif J, kawabunga

For those of you experiencing stiff or erratic operation of your hydro pedel on your BX machines be sure to look at the pedel pivot for the presence of a grease fitting. If there is not one on your machine contact the dealer there is a sevice bullitin fix for this. The pivot shaft is prone to corrosion where the bushing on the pedel fits due to a lack of lubrication. Mine was tightening up to the point of where mine would not return to neutral on it's own so I tackled it myself and installed a grease fitting, shortly after I read about the dealer fix on the message board here. Now my pedel operates smoothly throughout the range of movement and returns quickly to neutral on it's own from any position.
