Don't know exactly why, except there maybe should have been another tie on the fuel line, or let the slack lay somewhere else, but the HST fan on my new used BX1500 nicked the fuel line that runs past it.

I got my parts manual disc from eBay today, but this good computer can't read that disc. So I have to ask... there's a tube from the bottom of the fuel tank and there's also this leaky line running from near the top of the tank to the front cylinder. I figured to drain the full tank before I disconnected anything to make the repair, but I don't understand this upper line. Also, it feels like there might be a rigid insert under the clamps where the tubing from the tank connects to the smaller tubing inserted into it that runs to the engine. Is there a barbed plastic insert under that splice? If so, does it need any kind of dope to seal it under the clamps?

Go to this link TractorSmart home page and fill out the proper info and they will email you the parts manual in a pdf . .

You can try Messick's too for part diagrams Kubota BX1500 Parts

hope this helps

Return line from the injectors. It allows leakage from the injectors to return to the tank.

Try this link to the index of Kubota books
It helps to have it in PDF. I also filled out the form from Tractorsmart and filled in for all of the equipment available for my records.

Thanks for the resources, and the knowledge that it's a return line from the injectors. I'll just go ahead with what should be a simple repair and then all fresh fluids and maintenance for my tough new l'il pal in a couple of days.

All-- Have a great 4th of July weekend.

Make sure and use SUDT it makes a difference.

Picked up a big 2.5 gallon jug plus an extra quart. I see they call for SUDT for the front axle too, or 80-90 gear lube. Any preference?

Most people including myself use the 80-90 gear oil.
