Don't know exactly why, except there maybe should have been another tie on the fuel line, or let the slack lay somewhere else, but the HST fan on my new used BX1500 nicked the fuel line that runs past it.
I got my parts manual disc from eBay today, but this good computer can't read that disc. So I have to ask... there's a tube from the bottom of the fuel tank and there's also this leaky line running from near the top of the tank to the front cylinder. I figured to drain the full tank before I disconnected anything to make the repair, but I don't understand this upper line. Also, it feels like there might be a rigid insert under the clamps where the tubing from the tank connects to the smaller tubing inserted into it that runs to the engine. Is there a barbed plastic insert under that splice? If so, does it need any kind of dope to seal it under the clamps?
