BX Skid Plate

Before I break something expensive under there, it's time for a skid plate. The paint is still fresh. I will make the final adjustment & try to get measurement out shortly, for anyone trying to save their machine.

Looks Nice!!! Any info you can get us for measurements would be great! It's a shame they don't offer it as a factory option, yours looks like it could be in the Kubota catalog!

Nice professional job... Ate thru a couple of hydro. cooling fan blades and a few rubber drive line booties already myself. Knew a plate was needed soon. Now if we had the skid plate, a tranny plate and could design some plastic Ball Joint Protector Sheilds for the steering linkage rubber booties up front (like the ATV's have) I'd run it thru anything /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Thank you for sharing.

Bird, can one still use the MMM with your skid plate attached?
That has been my reluctance of making one as I didn't want to
have to crawl under and remove it every time I put the mower
deck on.

With my luck, a 3" straight limb would go through that hole in the plate!

A very nicely designed plate. Appreciate any specs you are willing to provide for those, like me, that still have to build ours.

Hi Mike,

I do not have a MMM, but do believe that the MMM would work, the drive shaft (joint on/off, no problems) comes out of the 3"hole, u may have to make it oval, to take up the range. The link bar are not in the way. A plug cap for the hole, is in the works, for when the Drive shaft is not used & the drain & filter access are all accesible with the skid plate installed.

Here an updated version, with a slide door protection

Also more travel was added for a MMM.

I may get a MMM from the dealership to fine tune the skidplate design & test run. I may take u guys up for the $45.00 design, if I make this extra effort.

The next one I make will be for Yankee, new & improve.
