BX Rototiller Size

Perfect size, several on here have 48"ers on their BXs just be sure to size the PTO shaft, don't want it too long and bind up and shove the PTO into the rear end. The BX will handle it really well.

Not at all. A search here will show that to be the most common size for the BX. Mine is a 49" and my 2230 hardly even knows it's back there, other than the weight of course.

PS how much will it cost you???

Im looking at a used tiller thats a 48 inch tiller is it too big for the BX24?

No problem. I have a 48" wide Yanmar RS-1200 rototiller that I used on my 2005 Kubota B7510HST and it works fine.

Thanks for the quick replies,

The person is asking 500$ for the tiller or best offer

My 48'' KK on one of my BX Tractors.

Tilling the dirt with the used BX1500 to make it finer for back filling the trench for the electric line.

I run a 48" on my BX24 and it works great. If it's in good shape, $500 for pretty much any 3pt tiller is a steal!

You shouldn't have a problem with a 48" and that price is great assuming it is in decent shape. Good luck.

That should be fine. I have a 37" Muratori and my BX2200 could easily accommodate larger.

What price are you looking at? You might be able to accomplish the same task with a subsoiler and a set of discs. That means two implements, however they do not require PTO power and may be less money and less maintenance. If it's a good deal, however, go for it.

$500 I would jump on that in heart beat it is hard to find small tillers used.

Go for it. I paid $1200 for a new 48" unit for my BX1500. It handles it without any trouble. Plan on cutting the PTO shaft though.

Also a word of caution... do not operate the PTO with the 3PH in the raised position - it could bind. The drive-line angles become too extreme due to the extremely short PTO shaft.

Mine works fine at any height .

Arg, this the second time in 2 weeks, find killer deals on equipment and the people selling them dont get back to me until they are already sold, even though I had set up a time to meet them. Last week it was a kubota plow and quick hitch for 1300$ this time a Scima tiller (used 2 times) for 500$. Arg I hate craigslist some times.

I had similar trouble when I was looking for a tiller. I didn't really want a new one, but used ones were hard to come by. And people wanted and arm and a leg for them. IF they would ship cross country the combined cost was usually close to the price of a new unit. So I ended up buying a new one anyway. Regardless, I am very happy with it even if it was more than I originally wanted to spend.

Sooner or later the right one will come along...Using a 48" tiller on the back of my 23, works great.
