Is the height adjustment on the mmm a mechanical stop or what? Why can I keep pushing the hydro lever forward and the mower deck goes all the way to the floor regardless of the height setting under the seat.

Dunno bout the 1800 series but on BX2x's the mower linkage simply rides "on top" of the 3pt linkage. The knob under the seat is a mechanical stop to control how low the mower linkage is allowed to go.
What do you mean it goes to the floor? Have you adjusted the gage wheels for your mowing height? In the highest gage wheel positions my MMM won't hit the stops either.
