BX & Massey GC series quick hitch compatable?

The front quick hitch systems used by Massey on the GC series and Kubota on the BX series look identical from the mating tongue forward.

Can anyone confirm that the implements are interchangeable? Would a BX snow blower or rotary broom fit on the Massey quick hitch and vice versa?

The quick hitches are made by RAD Technologies in Canada. They can be found on New Holland, and some of the older Honda also (and probably other brands). I have no doubt they are interchangeable.....but will the PTO driven attachments interchange ??? Probably, but I don't think I'd be willing to guarantee it. I can tell you that I've called them with some technical questions...... and they were VERY helpful. They put one of their engineers on the phone with me to answer my questions. Might want to brush up on your French a little before you call though.

I would think you could figure out PTO rotation (clockwise, or counter clockwise) just by visiting the dealers' lots. If the PTOs all rotate the same, then its just a matter of anything interfering with the shaft, and shaft length (which is easy enough to deal with). Mid PTOs all rotate at +/- engine speed..... so thats a non-issue. If you get good concrete info on whether or not they all interchange between brands...... please let us know.

They do look alike don't they ? Makes me wonder if they are in the cahoots like GM with chevy,pontiac, gmc ? kubota BX and Massey ferguson GC's ? :laughing:

Okay kidding aside- I am curious about that as well as alot of things look alike. I really gotta stop by MF again and peer under the hood and compare. I am betting its a clone. Having a BX for a few years, I think I have a good idea what to compare.

I can see it now- sometime down the road, we will see a tractor mutt!

all the tractor companies use RAD for their front attachments. Interesting thing is that not all are priced the same though...
