Working on that one...
I have been looking at the BX2200 lately, and I noticed that it has the "treadle" style pedal. I have heard some complaints on this. It looks like it sticks up a little too high, might be a little hard to handle, or cramp up my leg. Has anyone had any problems with their leg cramping up or any such thing. All comments are appreciated. Thanks Kyle

I really thought I'd hate it, since I was used to a Cub Cadet style, (2 pedals, one forward, one reverse). Now that I've run it a while, I am used to it and in fact like it...a lot! Just takes a while to get in the swing of it. It makes loader work a breeze. You can ride your foot on it in several different ways...I am very comfortable with it even after hours of play...errr...work. (whew, the wife almost saw that one...) /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Also on the left hand side of the floor there are some buttons or something. I believe one is for the differential lock. Is there enough room on that side for your foot? I really haven't sat on this tractor very long, I guess I am just afraid that since it looks fairly small that it might be sorta cramped. Thanks always, Kyle

Kyle,

I was a little concerned about that pedal layout when I first drove one. I don't give it a second thought now -- very comfortable and very quick manuevering. As for the differential lock -- I have not had to use it very much but when I've needed it, I've had no problem getting to it. I'm 6'1 and a couple of happy BX owners hanging around the forum here are even taller.

I don't think people of typical size(5-4 to say 6-2)should have a problem. I was not much into that "boomerang" pedal at first either but it grows on you. Now I like it, it works especially well when using the the loader where it is needed to reverse directions continusously. I am having plenty of room for my feet and do not find my self cramped after many hours. The differential lock is used quite a bit when running the boxblade to maintain traction. The brake lever is on the right side and sticks up high--remember--the hydro is the way you speed and slow up the only time the brake is used is when you are about to go off a cliff or leave the tractor--I set the brake--it is not like you come to a turn as in a car and have to step on the brake or something. When you get off the hydro pedal the tractor will come to a quick stop. The main complaint I think most guys have, at least me, is that the seat has a bit of a forward tilt to it or so it seems and it takes getting used to. As I have said before--it is a tractor--not a Lexus so be realistic in your expectations of comfort--it will certainly blow your old "Murray" away. Also consider the 7500, I did not find it that much more roomy if any but you might like it as well--go tryem out. J
